Dear
Adrian,
We wanted to share with you how
grateful we were for your
recommendation of the Nkambeni Lodge
to get the full experience of Kruger!
This vacation far surpassed our
expectations on every level. After
being together for ten years and
getting married in a few months, we
wanted to have a great trip together
and we agreed this was the best
vacation we had ever had! During our
four night stay, we went on two full
day game drives, two sun-downer
drives, and two bush walks and each
offered a fantastic variation of
sensory excitement!
Our guide, Emma, provided bountiful
information on the animals and
landscapes and patiently answered our
many, many questions giving us
individual treatment and attention!
Within the first morning we saw the
big five and even some baby hyenas
with their mother! The sundowners
provided another look over the bush as
it grew dark and we enjoyed watching
the yellow moon rise full over the
landscape . It was breathtaking. Our
bush walks provided an opportunity to
really get involved with the land. We
tracked rhinos and came across one
stomping back and forth at the smell
of us! It really brought the
experience to life and made you feel
connected with this extraordinary
setting.
Our tented cabin was placed so we
could view the bush right from your
tent window and we could even hear
cape buffalo breathing as they ate the
grasses nearby in the middle of the
night. The food was great and the
setting relaxed and accommodating. We
wished it were a trip we could do
every year but know that it will
remain in a special place in our
memories!
Thank you again to you and all who
made it so special!
Best,
Caroline and Nick |

"...we had an amazing
time with Terry and Shirley and
our Safari trip in general. Terry was
an absolute star, a pleasure to be
around and a great guide. We saw and
did so much with him, and it wouldn't
have been the same trip without him.
Weaver's loft is just stunning - what
a place to live. Our room was
incredible, especially the bath with a
view of the bush... although perhaps a
little unnerving to find yourself face
to face with an Impala while having a
wash!
Shirley was an amazing cook - we felt
extremely spoilt and extremely lucky
to be allowed to enter their lives for
a few days. Terry had arranged the
perfect combination of sight seeing,
relaxing and animal spotting. Tangala
was just breathtaking and a place I
will never forget. When we came back
from our first safari (where we saw 4
out of the big 5), we were blown away
by the lantern lit pathways. Dinner
round the open fire was so much fun,
and I don't know how they managed to
create such a magnificent feast
without any electricity! the next
morning at breakfast we were lucky
enough to be joined by two giraffe at
the watering hole who entertained us
with their gymnastic capabilities (see
attached!).
Our day in Kruger just topped the lot
though, with wild dog and cheetah
being spotted within 5 minutes of
entering the park! We then saw baboon
and monkeys galore, elephant and zebra
a plenty, eagles and vulture, hippos
and crocodiles... and to crown a most
fantastic day, a leopard, just sitting
at the side of the road as if he were
waiting for us. And just when things
could get any better, Terry shared an
evening
with us at Tree Tops restaurant which
was just magical.
I would like to thank you, Adrian, for
putting us in touch with Terry and
Shirley as we really had the most
incredible holiday and feel truly
blessed by the sights and animals we
saw - we couldn't have asked for a
better time.
Thanks for everything
Sarah " |
