See impressive bull elephants like this whilst training to be a guide. You'll likely get to see most of the big 5 game species and lots of other African wildlife whilst on this course!

About the course                  Experience the African bush and its wildlife and landscapes first hand whilst training to be a Safari Field Guide! This is a different course to our Karongwe and Selati camps, but is a good alternative and also a FGASA accredited course qualifying you to FGASA level 1.

You will live and learn and experience the bush on a safari camp set in pristine bush within a private concession of the Kruger National Park, South Africa.

This four week course will commences on the first Monday of each month. Students cover the FGASA level one syllabus during which the theory is covered in lectures in the classroom and practical time is spent in the bush on our private Mdluli concession in Kruger National Park. Hazyview is the nearest town (18km away) while Nelspruit is just 73 km s away.

All meals are catered for by a chef. The camp has an electric fence around the perimeter, however there is no electricity. Lanterns light the pathways at night and there is a generator that runs for a few hours during the day. We encourage you to please bring any extra torches and lamps you feel you might need. Drinks from the bar are paid by students.
