We offer a thrilling educational experience for the
more committed bush fan: A survival course based in
unfenced African bush. The mix of mainly arid
landscape and large African Game animals heightens
the reality and dangers to be overcome...should one
be thrust into a survival scenario.
A
maximum of 6 participants are taken out into this
African wilderness in the South Eastern corner of
Botswana – with its mix of plains, bushveld and
riverine ecosystems and over the following period of
days, our staff will impart comprehensive education
and instruction in Bush Survival including making
shelter and fire, and finding food and water.
Additional instruction will cover safety in the bush
(wildlife and the environment) and a means of
selecting - and safely/efficiently navigating to – a
place of rescue and communicating to possible rescue
services.
Towards the end of the course the candidates will be
given a survival scenario at which point the
guides/staff in attendance will withdraw and remain
for safety purposes only. The participants must then
work as a team to 'survive' and reach a safe point
on their own
This course is by definition, basically serviced, so
while food and drink is supplied in the early
stages, this will diminish as the course progresses
and the candidates begin to source their own
supplies.
Accommodation
Living accommodation will vary,
utilising either/both of our fixed camps (seen
in the images below) and a 'fly' camp of
small dome tents (as in the top image of this
page), eventually progressing towards living
'rough' in the bush.
Our Wilderness is home to Elephants (breeding herds
and bulls) Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and both Spotted
and Brown hyaena, whilst antelope ranging from
Steenbok through Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and
Wildebeest and up to Eland roam thru the harsh but
beautiful landscape.
