Field Guide Training
or Safari Field Guide Training (as it is correctly termed) was setup to
raise the standard of guiding in Southern Africa.
The courses offered here have been designed to supply the safari industry with high
calibre professional Field Guides endorsed by FGASA (The Field Guides Association of Southern Africa).
You can take the
option to write this exam (at an extra
cost) and come away from your Safari
Guide Training with an accredited
certificate recognised in South
African. Level one FGASA could get you
into the industry and working at a
lodge. Should you wish not to write
FGASA then you will still learn the
same subject matter and complete the
course certificate which will indicate
the percentage pass when you have
finished your course.
Afreco uses an experienced supplier for these courses. The supplier is a well known, long-established and highly respected pioneer and leader of formal training programmes for nature guides.
